Advanced Notice on Take Your Dog To Work Day

Hey Everyone!

Every year Pet Sitters International sponsors Take Your Dog To Work Day. This year's event falls on Friday, June 26th. Organizing a Take Your Dog To Work Day can sometimes take a little planning. You'll need to get your boss' permission and get your co-workers on board. Pet Sitters International has a few tips on how to get your boss to agree and how to organize an event. If these steps seem too much, remember, it doesn't have to be as formal as these tips would make you think. But it is a great opportunity, not only to take your dog with you for the day, but also to spread awareness about adopting shelter animals.

Keep in mind that some of these materials say June 20th but this year's event is actually Friday, June 26th.
Here's a link on how to organize an event: http://www.takeyourdog.com/Get-Involved/how-to-participate.php

Tips on how to convince your boss! http://www.takeyourdog.com/Get-Involved/win-over-your-boss.php I would also mention to your boss the last tip from the how to participate article about registering your event and the possibility of media coverage, because there's nothing better than free good publicity for a business!
Last year Cary took Hannah and Sam to work with him and they had a great time and even behaved themselves! I hope that we can get more people involved this year. We would love to get pictures from people across NWA of their dog at work :D
